Artist Statement
Sun flower swirls
I first chose a subject of matter to sketch out.Once i chose the sunflower I drew out a sketch I was comfortable with. After that I drew it out on the card board piece I added the light color pastels first then the darker color pastels.
I really liked sunflowers and is represents a connection me and my mom have together. I also love the bright colors The sunflowers have.
faces of the sky
In this canvas I used oil pastels and acrylic paint. I grew out my sketches and picked the one I liked the most. After that I drew it out and started to add the color. I added the small details with the acrylic paint.
I like to look at the sky a lot and look at the moon and the blue sky. And i really like the cartoonish look I added.
Sunset
As always I drew out my my four sketches and picked one out. I really didn't know how to use watercolor so I started with a wash then kept adding layers. then finally added details.
I went to the lake and the sky was really pretty so I just remind me of it so I did it. Also I ways go to the lake in the summer and i love the summer.
Love lost at sea
I started with a sketch and I chose the one I wanted. I drew it out on my canvas then decided what colors I wanted to use.Then i started to paint the top half first. Once done with the top half I painted the bottom.
I liked the colorful sky and really liked mermaids. I though it was cute to add a heart at the end of the fishing line,
Broken Apart
I started out with my sketches then I picked out the one i wanted. I didint really know what to draw. So i picked the easiest one. I painted the background first then started to go down to the smaller areas. then the details.
I really like to look in to peopls eyes when talkig so i can see the eye color. I like the glare the light gives off.
